Apple AirPods 3 may launch in H1 2021 with design similar to AirPods Pro

Apple has many products queued up to launch in the latter half of this year through 2021. And, while many of us are expecting that Apple could launch some of those products at itsWWDC 2020 event that is commencing today, leaks have suggested this is not the case. According to some valuable contributors in the tech world like Jon Prosser and Max Weinbach who also happen to hold a strong track record of offering the right information of upcoming products, the plans of launching any new hardware at WWDC have been scrapped. So, let’s not make AirPods 3 a story of WWDC.
The latest research note from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo obtained by MacRumors points out thatApple plans to launch third-generation AirPods in the first of 2021. The report goes on to state that the AirPods 3 is going to have a form factor design “similar to AirPods Pro.”
Apple launched the AirPods Pro in October last year via a press release. AirPods Pro features an in-ear design with three sizes of soft silicone tips. The report from the analyst makes no other mention but we expect AirPods 3 to include all those features which the AirPods Pro came with. The truly wireless headphone came with many upgrades but the main highlight has to be the active noise cancellation. It also came with improved sound quality, water, and sweat resistance.
The research note from Kuo also reiterates that iPhone 12 models will not include EarPods in the box. Kuo believes this will boost the shipments of the upcoming AirPods.
